VAGAL RESET
Switch off stress fast
Your nervous system can get stuck in different modes. Overwhelmed. Wired. Shut down.
Each needs a different kind of reset. These exercises use breathing, sound, movement and physical sensation to influence the vagus nerve — a major part of your body's calming and regulation system.
The goal isn't to “think” yourself calm. It's to give your nervous system a physical signal that you're safe enough to shift.
Calm the body first. Everything else follows.
Fast. Simple. Proven to work.

Overwhelmed
OverloadedYour attention is everywhere at once. This reset pulls you back into your body, your surroundings, and the moment you're actually in.
Wired
Too much energyYour body is switched on and won't settle. This reset helps bring the intensity down so you can finally slow down.
Shut Down
Numb & disconnectedEverything feels flat, distant, or hard to reach. This reset gently wakes your senses and reconnects you with your body.
Why it works
Your vagus nerve is part of the communication system between your brain and your body. When stress keeps your system switched on, body-based signals can help shift that state without asking you to “think” your way out of it.
Slow breathing, humming, movement and physical sensation give your nervous system different signals to work with — helping you move from “something is happening” toward “I can settle now.”
What you may notice
- Your breathing may become slower and easier.
- Your shoulders, jaw and muscles can start to release.
- Your thoughts may feel less urgent, giving you more space.
Remember
- You don't need to feel completely calm for it to help.
- Even a small shift in your body is useful information.
- Different nervous-system states respond to different resets.
